After graduating from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Mr. Lawhorn earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2003 and has decades of experience litigating in state and federal courts throughout Texas. In addition to practicing criminal law, he has extensive experience in civil business litigation and corporate management.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lawhorn has developed a strong reputation in the East Texas legal community and has received significant recognition from several organizations. He is a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer, twice as a Rising Star and has been a member of the Top 100 Lawyers for Criminal Defense (Nationally) for over a decade consecutively.
