Jacob Guerrero is an Associate Attorney for Lawhorn Law, P.C. in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Guerrero represents clients in Tyler and across Smith County who have suffered personal injuries due to negligence. He manages cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, and various other disasters. Jacob also has a passion to help individuals in handling matters related to Will & Estate Law including drafting and defending wills, trusts, and other related documents. He is also actively practicing Criminal Defense Law in both State and Federal Court in Texas.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Tyler with a degree in Political Science, Mr. Guerrero earned his Law Degree from Mississippi College School of Law. He has worked for the Mississippi Department of Employment Security Appeals Department in Administrative Law. Mr. Guerrero deepened his passion for the justice system during his externships with Judge Deborah McDonald of The Mississippi Court of Appeals, and The Twentieth Circuit Court of Madison and Rankin Counties. Furthermore, He received a Pro Bono certificate memorializing his heartfelt belief that all individuals deserve fair and competent legal representation. Jacob was also an active member of the Phoenix Club of Jackson, a non-profit entity whose goal is to raise funds and partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi.
Mr. Guerrero's course of study included Advance Torts, Products Liability, White Collar Crime, and Antitrust Law, making him a substantial resource regarding Civil and Commercial Litigation. Jacob is excited to be a part of the East Texas legal community and to give back to his hometown. He has been a member in good standing with the Texas Bar since 2024.
